What is the ACT-i-Pass?

The ACT-i-Pass is a card that allows all grade 5 students that live or attend school in the city of London the opportunity to access FREE recreation programs throughout their ENTIRE school year.

Why ACT now?

Current research tells us that if physical activity patterns don’t change, our children’s generation may not live as long as us. (Healthy Active Kids Canada Report Card 2013, Healthy Active Kids Canada)

ACT-i-Pass is your grade 5 child’s ticket to many of the London recreation centres and programs.

Why sign up?

Active kids:

- Are less likely to develop heart disease and other chronic diseases;
- Have greater self-esteem and more positive attitudes;
- Are more likely to do well in school and make friends more easily; and
- Feel confident and ready to take on life’s challenges.

 An Active Lifestyle = Happy, Confident, Healthy Kids!

Act-i-Pass Evaluation and Research

Dr. Jason Gilliland from Western University and his research team want to know how the Grade 5 Act-i-Pass is working for you (as a parent, and as a youth). They are studying the effectiveness of the program, including what facilities are used (or not) on a regular basis for physical activity.
